Abstract:  Students plan a vacation. They are going to travel to three different cities of the world. They will need to check the weather and exchange some money before they go, and then 'virtually' visit some famous sites in each city and take some pictures. They will write a postcard home about their visits.

TexMex

Abstract:  Students will research Mexican food customs on the internet and answer a questionnaire. They will choose one food that they will place on a recipe card. They will then create a Mexican restaurant menu including: a menu cover that illustrates Mexican food and/or culture; 10 authentic Mexican foods with a one sentence description or more of the food; prices of the menu items in Mexican Pesos and Turkish Liras.

TravelQuest

Abstract:  Students in groups of four start a new travel agency called "Millennium Travel Ltd". The agency will offer exciting and unusual tourist destinations for business people who are too busy to research places they would like to visit. The agency must advertise, so the group designs and creates a unique travel brochure by using Internet web sites. The brochure will include general information about a destination, areas of historical and recreational interest, and a choice of travel packages.
